3 Point Lighting

This week we viewed a demonstration about 3 point lighting in the Design studio and learned how to position the lights based on subject matter (portrait or still life). As well, I tried out the 3 point lighting simulator provided and determined what happens when you take away particular light sources. For instance, when you take away key light the subjects face is in shadow and become hard to see. I realized while editing our groups video that some of our shots of interviewees are missing a key light source/have faces in shadows (too dark). To solve this issue, I kept the audio from the interview and subbed in alternate shots of shoes that my group had filmed, and I actually am pleased with the result.
